2.  Active Travel (Wales) Bill: Stage 1 - Approach to Scrutiny

 

2.1 The Committee agreed its approach to and framework for the scrutiny of the Active Travel (Wales) Bill and agreed to launch a public consultation on Friday 22 February.

3.  Economic Sector Policy - Ministerial Scrutiny Session

 

3.1. The Chair welcomed the Minister and her officials to the meeting. The Minister and her officials answered questions from the Members.

 

Action Points

The Minister agreed to provide additional information to the Committee on the following issues:

 

·         The timetable for sector panel meetings that show how many times they have met to date and how often they will meet in future.

·         Clarity regarding the changes in the BETS budget at the end of this financial year and the outputs achieved from the sectors and business delivery budget in 2012/13.

·         The statement published on Business Wales and any other additional information about the programme.

·         Information on what are the Department’s specific key performance indicators for the sectors following the current review.

·         Correct figures on inward investment in Wales.

·         More information about the brand strategy for the sectors.
